The FIFA World Cup Final is almost here, and Berks County is getting ready to celebrate with Experience Berks.
On Sunday, July 19, the Pennsylvania World Cup Fan Zone comes to downtown Reading from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., bringing soccer fans together for a full day of entertainment before the FIFA World Cup Final watch party kicks off at 3:00 p.m. in Santander Arena. As one of only three official Pennsylvania Fan Zones, the event gives local residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the excitement of the world’s biggest soccer tournament right here in Berks County.
Inside the arena, fans can watch the championship match on massive 40-foot screens in a climate-controlled environment. Outside, Penn Street will be transformed into a festival featuring live music, interactive games, soccer activities, local food and beverage vendors, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day. Performances by Sugar Ray and Ax & The Hatchetmen add to what is expected to be an exciting day in downtown Reading.
Community events have a way of bringing people together, and that’s exactly what makes this one so exciting. While the World Cup Final will be the main event, the Fan Zone is also an opportunity to spend the day in downtown Reading, support local vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and experience everything the community has to offer.
